Following Zambia's 11 August 2016 general elections, one presidential petition, 86 parliamentary petitions and 58 local government election petitions were filed by losing candidates. EISA and the Judiciary of Zambia held a workshop in Lusaka to examine the High Court's handling of the 2016 parliamentary election petitions with a view to enhancing future electoral dispute resolution in Zambia. The workshop was held on 3 February 2017 and attended by 24 High Court Judges from Lusaka, Central and Copperbelt provinces.
